Hi,

This belt originally belonged to a member of the DJ in the HJ in Lower Silesia. I have noticed the very different positioning of the manufacturer's marking, which is in the HJ diamond. The buckle is made by H. Aurich, but other buckles by Aurich have the manufacturer's marking along the outer edge.

Grateful if I can get some information regarding the buckle.

Your buckle is fine. It has a variant catch design that was only used by a couple of makers in relatively small quantities. Some collectors refer to these buckles as "crank-catches" due to shape and placement of the catch assembly. The Aurich HJ buckles with this type of catch are marked within the diamond as seen here. Hope this helps .....

Nice one. To my knowledge only 3 makers did this in the diamond. M4/42 . M4/72 and M5/276
