A while ago I posted information about 2 fake cufftitles.

Today I was at the Ciney fair in Belgium and found 3 original cufftitles, from one household.

I did keep the fakes I already had.

I also already had 2 original from a private household. (Nachlass)

I read a lot of questions about those cufftitles, so I wanted to make a good compare for you to learn and make no mistakes.

I you see a fake without comparing.. The fakes look pretty good.

The fakes have the "draketooth" edge at the back.. the originals not.

Today I bought an original Sport, Gelandesport and Schießwart.

The Schiwart (and a damaged gelandesportwart) I allready had from the household. What also is interesting: The 2 originals I bought today are the same manufacturer as the original schiwart I already had. No idea if that was the only manufacturer.

Some people give the draketooth fake a
change to be original.

For me, they are not. Today I saw them selled at bundles together and "many" dealers have those draketooth ones the last years..

So.. let's compare:

Sportwart (above original, below fake)

Now the Gelandesportwart (original, I don't have the fake one)

And 4 original beauty's together.
(The Schiwart is the most rare of them all.)
The pins are stuck through it, to attach it at a HJ wimpel as I found it.)

Here the Schiwart and gelandesportwart (this one is glued at the wimpel) in full glory.
And.. the SAME wimpel at a period photo from the same Nachlass..

Nice catch WERNER , the SCHIWART is very difficult to find !

Yes, we've had a few threads on these over the years (nice to see a full set by the way!) and things usually ended inconclusively. Always good to get things from the source and you're right, seeing bundles of the other type in dealer's inventories is not a good indicator that they have the correct type....
