Hi Osvald21,

probably a privately acquired piece, probably never officially suggested, and thus typical for a photo of that time.
If you would call it an "aftermarket product" today, I don't know of any other photos with it...

Typical for the early period. These types of accoutrements disappeared fairly quickly after 1933.
