a lot of fakes on the market right now for the enamel signs.
They are extremely rare in their original condition.

Since my book was published it is true after a while lots of fakes came on the market.
Maybe this is a good one. What faker would know a Lehrerbildungsanstalt is state
and so a state-form of shield should be made? I think not many know this. But if, it is
no guarantee the shield is okay!

The size seems correct too me according. It is 1 mm in difference with the description
in the order from the Reichsgesetzblatt from February 6, 1939: Amtsschilder der
staatlichen Verwaltungen. And what is 1.0 mm?

Thank you for your answers. I go to flea markets a lot and in the last 3 years I see a lot of good fakes but mostly well known motives.
Especially at auctions, if you do not have it in hand, you can say it bad if it was aged quickly.
If it is original then it is really rare but the risk is too big for me. In the end, paid a lot of money and have a fake.
