the most interesting remains in my opinion, the years 33/34/35
in the designs, and forms, as well as the events they represent

Hello,
Attached are some information about the event:

- The area meeting took place from April 29-30, 1933 in Plauen in Vogtsland/Saxony
- Plauen was chosen because it was here, in 1923, that a youth movement of the National Socialist youth movement was founded by 3 boys for the first time
- During the prohibition period, the youth storm was called "Wandersportverein Vogtland"
- In 1926 at the party conference in Weimar, the Plauen youth were given the name Hitler Youth for the first time
- Furthermore, Plauen was the seat of the Reich leadership of the Hitler Youth for 8 years
- About 22,000 members of the Hitler Youth were present, including about 5,000 girls

Thank you Pete for the history behind the piece. I enjoy them so much more when I know why they were created.

I know this is an old post but I just thought of a question for you. The tinnie says 1923 - 1933 so was this event held annually for ten years. If this was the case why are there only 3 dates on it and when was it Manufactured? I hope you have that information available to you.
Joe

Hi Joe,

No, the meeting was not held annually. For one thing, the NSDAP and its organisations were banned for a considerable time during the Weimar Republic. Secondly, it also says 1. (first) Gebietstreffen. So it was the first meeting in 1933 to mark the tenth anniversary of the organisation. Plauen played a special pioneering role in the early history of the HJ (Kurt Gruber).
