Hello everyone,

I’ve come across something quite unusual that I haven’t encountered before. They appear to be Art Deco style artists drawings which i havent seen to often.

At the top, they read “Malerjugend Zeitschrift,” which I’m assuming may relate to a Hitler Youth artists’ magazine—but I’m not entirely sure.

I would really appreciate any additional insight or information anyone might have.

Thank you very much.

This was produced by a union that grouped together trade groups involved in what we would generally call painting & decorating but was undoubtedly more wide-reaching than that. It was banned in 1933 and was absorbed into the DAF. I would assume that the use of HJ diamond was an attempt to ingratiate or a last-ditch attempt to survive? I don't know but the items do look nice.
