Hey guys,

Does anyone even seen a vase like this.
Looks legit, but very expensive and because of that, the risk of faking in my opinion.

Ive seen this exact same vase before. It came out of the Phillip Baker collection and sold by SSBW militaria. It sold for around £450 if i remember correctly. I always wondered who bought it. I saw it in hand at a show one year and didnt buy it, but seeing it and feeling it in hand, I personally think it is period. But please do not take my word as final. Some people on here will have a much better idea of originality.

I knew it was from Philip Baker. But my problem is that there is no reference at all. so how to judge?
The 450 doesn't even come close these days.

When did you see it? (Year)

With this kind of item, Its almost impossible to be 100% sure that its period as its a one of kind item. It was about 2020/2021

Here is the link from SSBW - SSBW Militaria

But having seen in person what was left of the phillip baker collection, he did have some reproduction items. Just because it came from a top collector, doesn't immediately make it real. It helps of course but this isnt a way of saying its 100% period.
Hope this help
