Hello everyone,

I recently acquired this HJ knife, which was reportedly found in North Africa. I would appreciate your expert opinions on its authenticity, as a local shop owner briefly looked at it and claimed it was a reproduction.

Here are some details and physical tests I performed:
1. The diamond is tight and does not wiggle, probably due to dirt/age.
2. The diamond is non-magnetic (tested with a magnet).
3. The blade has a clear ricasso step and shows natural dark carbon spots/patina.
4. There is a partial RZM marking on the blade, but the manufacturer code underneath is mostly worn away.
5. The leather hanger strap fastens from left to right (when facing the blade).
6. The snap button features the manufacturer marking "S & S" (Schmöle & Comp) and has a worn letter (H/M/W) on the top inside part.

I have attached detailed photos of the knife, the diamond, the RZM mark, and the snap button.

Thank you very much for your
time and help!
