A short time ago I managed to buy this HJ knife from a collector who sold his collection. It is an early model without ricasso made by Louis Perlmann, Solingen.
It's probably the best Christmas present I've ever given myself.
The bag was slightly curly, but managed to straighten it out with 2 pieces of fabric and a steam iron !!! I was quite nervous about this way of straightening out the bag, but that was the only way I could do it, it didn't help to put it under pressure between 2 books or the like. See pictures before and after.
Now I have 2 HJ knives with bags of issue in my collection, and i like them very much, so much that I want to share my joy with you.
Finally, I wish everyone in this forum a really Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
