Hello All,
I am a complete newbie looking for guidance. As such, I will generally read and listen a lot more than voicing my un-educated thoughts but after reading several opinions and such I'm simply going to ask ' when you look at this picture, what do you see?'. I will take a close picture of the back of this group to look for makers marks, etc.. and add it later. I have seen various colors on the web and most all indicate colored pins as Foreign Memberships, one even noting that the dark blue was for Holland or Denmark. This makes sense to me and learning is the key but getting a bit burned while learning is no fun.
Thank you to all who might answer,
Regards

5 fantasy pins
Well, thank you :(. These came in a complete HJ display (pictured) and although I feel good about most of the items because of their markings and my bit of research, I am of course worried about others now. Yesterday, I saw a magazine of a company that specializes in reproductions and it appears there is a huge business in this maybe for re-enactments. I guess the best thing is to buy things from reputable experienced sellers. or get educated quick.
Regards

Welcome Jazzer57
You're in the right place to learn a lot about HJ. Unfortunately you got off to a bad start with these colored copies! Only the red pattern existed. There is a specialized section on this badge on the forum. (Insigna Metal /membership badge) I think it is accessible to everyone .
Above all, don't hesitate to post before buying, a member will probably be able to help you
Greetings
