Hello guys
I would need your help about this HJ scarf especially concerning the border seams.
The edges are not folded as usual.
Just a thread to prevent the fabric from fraying.
Have you ever seen this?
Dimensions of the scarf.
Max lenght 130cm, high 65 cm
Thank you for your help
Have a nice day

I don't think it's original at least I haven't seen one like that before personally, the woggle has a chance but the scarf and the woggle are really difficult to know for certain if they are period with period markings IMO... Hopefully someone even more knowledgeable about these can chime in...

Cheers,
Adam

Yes, I would tend to agree. Here are the correct dimensions for the scarf:

Early scarves show the RZM stamp at set intervals on the cloth. Later scarves had the RZM label.

Official toggles were light-brown (natural leather colour). With use the leather darkened but the one pictured looks like it has always been black.

Yes, it could well be home-made from the period. Difficult to tell though of course.

The guy who sold it to me told me that it was found in Germany with other HJ items. For him it is period done and he is ready to give me money back if not satisfied. It is aaa militaria and i think it is a honest guy !
