HJ Sommermütze or NPEA ?

Hello all,
I picked up this mint condition summermutze but I’m puzzled as to consider it as a HJ cap or NPEA. While de cap seems mint and never worn it is obvious there has been a metal ,pinned , badge removed under the eagle; was it a HJ diamond or a political leader style rosette ??? Any input is appreciated.

In my opinion it is most likely that there was a HJ diamond, as the RZM label indicates that it is a HJ sommermütze.

Your sommermutze has an earlier pattern RZM tag around 1937 . And yes these early ones were worn with usualy with a membership pin, but I have seen a couple that used the 2 promged diamonds aswell. .
In my opinion this cap was made between 1936 to 1941 as regulations forbid the wearing of the metal HJ pin on the sommermutze , being replaced by the cloth HJ cap diamond from mid 1942 onwards .
The colours follow the oberbann, but white was oberbann 5, and was used by NPEA. Which I have one.
