Hello,

here is something rare from my collection. Two stamp boxes like the ones probably used by the HJ. You can tell by the cover of the lid. Perhaps someone else has an example of such boxes.

Nice. A popular children's toy even many decades later. The company was based in Leipzig and existed for almost exactly one hundred years, from 1891 to 1990.
So I would say that the toy was not an (official) HJ toy, but was just as popular with kids at the time as it was in East German times. Of course, in the thirties it sold better with a picture like this on the lid.

As luck of the draw, I have a postcard from chap Rolf, who sent his auntie a Christmas greeting using all the stamps he had at his command. :biggrin1:
