It's incredible the things people brought home or continue to turn up straight outta Germany from that period of time. It could be a tetherball or perhaps some kind of exercise ball they would swing around? What is the weight of it?
 
Would not be to sure if it's legit..

Why not the Diamond?
Don't say it is not period, but I would be aware
