I wonder what the unit designation is. SZ 7? Elsewhere on the forum there is a DJ fanfare banner marked FZ for their musical formation so who knows.

Garry , the unit on this banner says 7 126 .

That's right Joe. I'm thinking this might be SZ (Spielmannszug) 7/126.

Maybe Gefolgschaft 7 was the Spielmannszug from Bann 126?
Often they were not numbered for the outisde world, but
merely listed within the Bann-organization.
Normally trumpet-banners did not have numbers, but it is
known it was done!

But what is normal? Have a look at the cloth, hanging over
the big drum. It has the letters RFS and stands for Reichs-
finanzschule.

Interesting banner. I've not seen an H.J. unit marked fanfare with the designation on the bottom like this before. It is typically on the upper left corner from what I have personally seen. Not saying it is not a period example just has an unusual placement of the designation.

Very interesting that HJ Trumpet banner.
Surely it is not easy to get. It has a Plus when carrying the unit marks.
