Hi All, need your expertise on determining if this winter hat is a good one. Dealer has it on his site and although the price is way up there I have questions. Dealer has stated markings in cap are for Adolf H. school, so I need your opinion on this cap? Is the RZM tag good, period sewn on, and placed correctly? I know some out there have issues with this dealer but many others think he is a great dealer. Any red flags? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Tim

Hi TIM
I see a good cap here; the color, label, and buckle are all fine. This badge pattern isn't common, as the fabric one was normally used.
Can you get a photo of the back of the badge and another of the back of the buckle (to see the RZM marking)?

Compare it to my AHS cap! (Also not a sewn on diamond)

Just purchased this beauty at an auction.. Pretty expensive, but.. perhaps once in a lifetime, I don't know. Mint unworn Adolf Hitler Schule wintercap. First one I saw, think pretty rare. With an April 45 paper under the sweatband. Does not get any better then this. Never had a diamond...

But.. the price..
You can buy at least 2, almost 3 original not AHS stamped caps for that.

Are you willing to pay about 1200 euro more for only that stamp? (Asking= 1850)

I payed a lot for mine, but did it for that stamp.

I recently sold 2 of mine.. damn..
At this moment I don't unfortunately.

But they do come around for 550-750 nowadays..

Only but the TEXTBOOK ones!
The rest will always be doubtful and bad investment
 
Thanks Werner, Yeah I've seen a few out there with dealers saying original, but they are all post was civilian types. Hay let me know if you run across any for sale. I'd appreciate it. Thanks Tim
 
I will check.

Sometimes I see some of them in a short time, sometimes no for long time.
I took me years to find my first one and then in short period I found 6.

So maybe you regret not taking the 1850 euro AHS cap.
But the amount for someone who just wants a cap is to high.

Even for some who wants a AHS cap in my opinion.

But if you can afford.. she is a beautiful cap and impossible to upgrade.

But I think 900 to 1000 euro overpriced even with that stamp
 
Yes I agree it is way up there in price. I'm new to HJ collecting and just wanted some honest answers to my questions about this cap. And thank you my friend for all you information it truly helps. Tim
