They were awarded for obtaining a minimum score of points in three different events, in the competitions known as Reichssportwettkampf.
There were racing competitions, jumping, stick or ball throwing, etc.
Before 1937, these competitions were called "Deutsches Jugendfest", later they became known as "Reichssportwettkampf der HJ".
The points of the sporting events were organized by age tables.
Each participant (within their age group) could earn one of these badges if they reached the required point total, many boys and girls received one.

According to the forum member "P1ngudad", there are 4 variations of the 1935 insignia:
1 - Flat with a rounded "3" (Flach "3" Rund),
2 - Flat with a flat finished "3" (Flach "3" Gerade),
3 - Vaulted (Gewolbt)
4 - Flat with an HJ Diamond relief (Flach HJ Raute Erhaben).

The measurements of this badge are approximately 2.63cm tall, 1.77cm wide.

Solid cast aluminum badge, in the shape of a vertical oval, composed of the Hitler Youth diamond with a movable swastika in the center, surmounted by an eagle, with a lower half-crown of oak leaves on each side and the number engraved below.

Material: aluminum with magnetic safety pin.
Weight: 1.57 grams
Length: 27mm
Width: 15mm
Height: 5mm

I understand that only the insignia of the corresponding year should be worn.

I looked at my badges and discovered this:
there is a small error, R.SIEPER&S and not R. Sierpe & Sohne
but more interesting, I have a 1938 badge with the reverse S : E.SCH.L

I have the 1940 Siegernadel Badge in plastic (Kunststoff) , no maker's mark, with a pin rivet.
There are two types of rivets in the 1940 version:

- Rivet with 2 round holes.
- Rivet with 4 square holes.

1942 Siegernadel badge in plastic (Kunststoff), without maker's mark, with pin.

There are three types according to its tone on the back:
Grey
Dark orange
Yellow

- Plastic painted in Silver Gray, Yellow tone back. Directly welded pin.

- Silver gray painted plastic, dark orange back :
* Directly welded pin:
* Pin with round rivet , 2 holes.

- Gray Plastic, Gray back
* Directly welded pin,
* Pin with round rivet , 2 holes.

--- Photographs: Gray badge with Pin with round rivet, 2 holes and Yellow badge with pin welded directly into the plastic.

Thank you, it’s still a very interesting infos. I must admit that before the publication of your article I did not find any particular interest in these little badges that were found everywhere at flea markets in Germany in the past. I must have seen a good hundred of them for sale...but that was in the past!

Bronze Winner's Brooch: Reich Sports Competition and Autumn Sports Competition if you achieve at least 180 points
