Is this Leistungsabzeichen an original Steinhauer made ‘B’ piece ?

It appears to be made of aluminium.

Any thoughts would be gratefully received.

Hi Tony,

M1/63 achievement badges have been faked in the past and here on the forum the M1/63 with raised B has been assessed as questionable but not as an outright fake in the past. Your pictures show natural sheared edges and the detail is nice and sharp. Yours does not have the die-flaw that outright M1/63 copies have. On balance a good one in my opinion.
