The photo on the left is from Tieste’s current auction. The pin is the same or quite similar to mine on the right.
He told me it is off of a sample board. Just thought this information might be helpful to others here.

Thanks Joe for posting this photo for further consideration and discussion. The sample board concept looks better for your tinnie than someone replacing a broken pin for use on a uniform or hat. For those who have never handled a Selm tinnie, it is quite large.

It does make sense. Plus, it appears to be fastened the same way and with the same cotter key type material. But, I’m new to this and am only guessing.
