I've attached some of the images from the auction.
The rectangular stitching I think may be from a removed or worn off RZM tag?
Both triangle and diamond appear to be added by someone not a professional seamstress after original manufacture. However looking at the backside where the gebeitsdreieck was attached, I believe the removal may be in period. I see holes from removed stitching for the top two sides, but not fully across the bottom. Also, it looks like the remaining fragments of thread are the same as the still extant stitching. This suggests to me that the girl stitching it on found she had it on too high or uneven, so she picked out her stitches and tried again. Not a certain thing of course, but that's how I guess. I suppose a faker last week or thirty years ago might have done the same.
As long as the pieces themselves all look to be original, I'm happy.
