I have a project here which lists the male and female leaders of the HJ-Gebiete, BDM-Obergaue and the DJ and Jungmädel representatives 1933-45 and a while back I thought it might be useful to do the same one level down for the commanding officers at Bann, Untergau, Jungbann and JM-Untergau 1933-45 so that's what I have been working on for the last months. The green ticks show that I have a verifiable source showing the name and rank of the person in the respective posts in the respective year.
This is a research resource so please feel free to get in touch if you need a particular name/rank behind any of the ticks.
The units:
Bann B
Bann BS
Banne B1 to B46
Bann G
Bann J
Bann K
Bann L
Bann S
Banne 1 to 949
Any assistance that you can give to fill the gaps (see post #2 onwards) using items from your collections or other sources would be greatly appreciated. If you would like to help please use the following discussion thread:

I am interested in all personnel who held these positions so my tables will include the Bannführer and Jungbannführer who were designated as k.-Führer (temporary (not always) replacements for the originally designated officers who were away with the Wehrmacht for example). I have chosen this method because it is most useful to the collector who will encounter documents signed by both types of officer.
Documents are one area where these tables will be useful and another are tunics with nametags and a rank. Referencing these tables will show whether personnel actually held the rank on the tunic and/or whether someone with that name every actually was in command of a Bann/Jungbann. There may be other uses of which I'm not yet aware. The point is to give interested parties an aid to making informed decisions.
Note: I have not entered any information from the 1944 SHAEF report into these tables because the information is unreliable. All entries in my tables are backed by a verifiable reference.
This is how the information will be displayed. In this case for a fictitious Bann:
The green ticks show that I have information from a primary source giving the name and rank of the person who held that appointment at that time. For some Banne I have almost complete coverage for 1933-45 but there are also Banne for which I either have nothing or very little. This all depends on the source material that I can acquire.
If anyone needs information on a specific commanding officer from the tables just send me a PM and I'll pass you the information.
Please note that from 1939 onwards the commanding officer for the Bann and Jungbann particularly could change multiple times within a year so when you see a tick it may or may not mean that I have full twelve month coverage. Also, it is normal, beginning in 1940 with the JM-Untergauführerin, that she and the Jungbannführer are no longer mentioned. This is due to their positions being deprecated which resulted in many Banne having the Bannführer and Untergauführerinnen in charge of the HJ/DJ and BDM/JM respectively.
