Hiya!!...hope your all well and enjoying the New Year. I have recently acquired a HJ specific triangle and am hoping for some verification or assistance if I have got it all wrong!
I am thinking its for a staff member at a Reichsfuhrerschule but research and comparasion examples are non existent so thinking the experts here will be able to help me identify.

Hi, I'd like to share my opinion on this triangle.

First of all, I don't want to claim that such triangles (handmade) don't exist, but I'm always a bit skeptical of them. There are known photos of people wearing handmade triangles, but it's always difficult to say whether triangles shown today are genuine.

Personally, I wouldn't want the one you've shown and would even call it a fake. Theoretically, anyone could recreate this triangle at home if they had the right thread.
Of course, there are other opinions on that. I hope they didn't pay too much for the triangle.

Interesting...thanks for your input! I dont think I would have the skill set to produce such an item and it came with a few other items that have all proven to be authentic but you always have to be wary of fakes when collecting TR.
 
Further information about the triangles and carrier photos can be found in Wim's book ( Handbook of the Hitler-Jugend ) and our book ( Die Gebietsdreiecke der Jugend-Organisation 1933 - 1945 ) about the triangles.
 
If possible can you show other examples of post war fakes for comparison? In my experience fakers dont just produce one item and then call it quits so wondering how many other copies are out there?

Interesting subject...glad I acquired it as a stimulus for exploring and educating myself on the subject further. Have very limited knowledge on the HJ so good to know more!
 
The most important thing when collecting is always the right specialist literature, which shows many possible examples and photos of the wearer. Of course, this forum is also the best starting point for research.
