M1/77 shooting badge, original?

Hi guys,


I have this shooting badge for a while now but was never convinced of its originality.

The silver finish is worrying me, it look so “new”.

On the other hand, the gold finish on the closing pin is still a bit visible and had some wear. Also the diamond looks okay to me.

What do you’ll think of it?

Nice badge. Nothing wrong with that one but I know what you mean about the silver finish. You've probably already done so but if you search for M1/77 HJ and DJ shooting badges you'll see a fair number with good remaining reverse finish.
