Hello collector friends,
I would like to introduce you to one of the HJ / DJ practice air rifles.
The Mars 115 is identical to the Haenel air rifle. The difference lies in the gun barrel and with the Mars 115 you can also shoot steel balls. The other airguns are loaded through a magazine (maximum 8 shots) and the Mars 115 is filled with bullets (maximum 50 shots) from above.
The Mars 115 is also rarer to find and even more difficult to find, especially if it is in good condition.
It is also mentioned in the book "HJ im Dienst".

is that your rifle do you shoot it? Do you have pic of maker mark & address on side of receiver? The Mars 115 holds 100 rounds, The Mars 100 holds 50 rounds, looks like a 98 type cleaning rod under barrel they are supposed to be a solid type rod. I would say the most ultra rare would the Diana 30 air rifle.

Hi Zacker,
yes, the air rifle is new to my collection. Only one stamp "Mars 115" can be seen. See picture 3.
Unfortunately I couldn't find any further information about the air rifle. My information about the Mars air rifle comes from the book "HJ im Dienst". The cleaning rod is actually from a K98.
Do you have any more information about the Mars 100 and Mars 115?

@ Pimpf359 correction the mod. 100 holds 75rds., here is a few pics from a Venus works brochure, will pm you later with much info you can learn from on this rifles, good find!

Thank you for the great information Zacker.
I also think the Mars 100 model is a rarer find, probably not being made in as many numbers as the 115.

Nice catch!
I own one too.
But I personally think the Haenel 33 is harder to find.
I looked after those guns several years and found more Mars variants for sale then Haenel.
Could be coincidence..

Salut,
