Found this DSM on a weapons forum. Haven't seen one with the Bann number applied before. This one is from Reutte, Gebiet Tirol-Vorarlberg

Well for shooting practice they would have needed something, and certainly were not issued with any, so it seems reasonable to me. I am only registered on 1 Gun forum, WW2weapons.com, but have not visited for ages - no time - and when i do, i usually stay in the insignia side of it, as i am no gun lover, at all.

I wasn't doubting that it was real although in retrospect I guess it could look that way
