Mint 1944 Gausieger

Hi everyone,

1944 Gausieger number 4 joined the collection. It's very hard to capture on camera but this example has the delicate silver wash still present on some parts of the surface. Despite the lower zinc metal, the Brehmer company still tried to make an appealing award.

This daylight picture gives a better idea about the silver finish albeit still not the same view like in reality. On the surface of the square field underneath the swastika the dark grey spots are the zinc base metal , the rest is silver wash..
