My latest HJ Honour badge (HJ Ehrenzeichen) M1/78

these are incredible! and the display in post #12 is absolutely stunning!

is there a thread here that covers the ins and outs of this badge? (the makers, what to look for in good ones vs bad ones, etc)

how can I learn about all the makers, etc... I have long admired these badges, but I don't know enough about them to comfortability dive in.

Thank you so much. It is a great little area of the hobby where you can still buy a Golden Honour Badge for under $1000 and I think they can be stunningly beautiful. I will first name all the legitimate makers, now there are fakes of certain ones, like Deumer m1/120 and Deschler M1/52 but you'll learn what to look for with these articles so you can easily tell the difference or if you have an issue post it here first.
Good makers are here;
*RZM 15 Hoffstätter Bonn first maker and excellent quality.
* Deschler M1/52
* Paulmann u. Crone m1/78
* Deumer m1/120
* Adolf Baumeister M1/49
Read these threads and articles to strengthen your knowledge because there are yes , obvious fakes from makers that didn't exist, but also makers who did exist and people have copied their design but usually have always made a mistake.

You should read this thread first about the recognized makers

Then read this thread about the infamous m1/70 Franz Otto fake.

Garry posted a good article also, perhaps it needs update, maybe? It is a bit older I think? Either way you can download his articles and it is really helpful.

Cheers,
Adam
