Though you might be interested in this flag.

I assume it is for a motorized flying club established in 1933 in the municipality of Eslarn on the Czech border, possibly part of the Deutscher Luftsportverband (to later form part of the Nationalsozialistisches Flieger Korps (NSFK)), although the plane emblem is not from either association.. Flag size about 1.2x1.2m.

I say assume as I have not found any information about this at all. Any info would be gratefully received.

Not NSFK related.

NSFK was a paramilitary National Socialist organization created in 1937, as a legal successor of the DLV (German Luftsportverband), which carried out the tasks of paramilitary training from 1933 to 1937, initially in secrecy (1933 to 1935), and after the attainment of military sovereignty, in the context of the military aviation reserve.

NSFK was until its dissolution in 1945 an independent body of public law and not - as many claim – a DNSAP party organisation.

The emblem of NSFK was the winged man Icarus

I changed the post after finding out some more information about the Luftsportverband but I did not know about your post until after, but thanks for the info.

I have seen a flag (on a dealer website) with a similar airplane on it supposedly it was for an HJ flak unit as you stated this one is probably for a DJ aero club. That is a very nice flag / banner.

That is why there are no RZM markings on NSFK items.

A nice example of an early period banner. Agree most likely an aviation club of some sort with a D.J. connection. Probably named in homage to the great flying ace.
