Odd scabbard personalization

Hi all...i came across this HJ knife who seems a nice one but the personalization on the scabbard seems definitely post war...what's your opinion??

I think you're quite right when you think it's post-war.

When you consider that the scabbard for a HJ knife as standard is black-painted, it doesn't really make sense that a mark in the black / metal color is on this metal-colored scabbard.

Not being an expert on knives, for me it appears as an original scabbard. The black paint was removed to put this ugly poultry on it (which is of course post-war). To give a judgement on the knife itself I'd like to see more and better-quality pics.

Is it the lighting but the diamond looks black or dark blue or purple ?
