Hello, recently i bought this knife on Ebay from a seller from Sweden. I never before saw this kind of "HitlerJugend type" knife and i never found the topic about it on this or other militaria forums. I am interested what is it, but i suppose it is a commercial scout or camping knife from Third Reich 1930s made for export to Sweden. I don't think it's fake, because the faker would put a HitlerJugend diamond to increase it's value instead of R. A. Herder Solingen circular emblem. The knife has no ricasso, the scabbard is without lip and it have a rivet, the hanger is without "Made in Germany" stamp, the handles doesn't have a HitlerJugend or Fleur-de-Lis diamond but a circular badge of the name of a producer, the rivets on the grip plates are magnetic and nickel plated. Here are the links on some swedish auction sites of this kind of knife: Images for 245581. KNIV, RA Herder, Solingen. - Auctionet and R.A. Herder Solingen kniv. M28 | Auktion Here are the pics of the knife i own:

Thanks for showing this knife. I have never seen one before either but the export angle may well be true. Hopefully you will get more comments on this interesting item.

Thank you for an answer. Here are the detailed pics of grip plates, emblem, grip plates rivets, ricasso and inside of the scabbard (one of the scabbard "springs" is completely covered with white (now yellow) canvas).

I have had one in my hand with a hirchhorn grip and the same logo as yours, but that was many years ago.

In Thomas M. Johnson's book "Collecting the edged Weapons of the third Reich Vol. 2" on page 296 this is pictured.

I don't know more than that, but it might help you a little in your search for more knowledge about your knife.
