(Sources for the political biography of the last German crown prince with a special focus on the 1930s)

Written by Herr Lothar Machtan, 2023, 338 pages, file format PDF, download size 5.6 megabytes.

"The dossier contains a diary-like reconstruction of all the protagonist's verifiable activities in front of and behind the scenes on the political stage. It is an annotated collection of material that aims to chronicle the political dimensions of this prince's life and to make his commitment transparent - with special consideration of his most important backers and neighbors..."

* The quotes about the SA Sturmabteilung and Ernst Röhm alone are remarkable, but please read for yourself...

P.S. All these quotes hardly read "fluently", you have to work your way through it all, in a truest sense of the word.
But if you are interested in the history of the crown prince, you cannot ignore this work...

The Crown Prince was a reflection of his ailing father, a caricature with a skullcap on his royal head.

A simple-minded man, a "poser" who, in his military ignorance, sent tens of thousands of German soldiers to their deaths for absolutely nothing, like his father...
For that alone he and his pathetic father should have been shot on the spot.
Which unfortunately wasn't the case, and that's very unfortunate...

It's a shame that these two criminals were allowed to end their lives in peace and prosperity, these two dilettantes should have been hanged by a rope in good time, which unfortunately wasn't the case, what a pity...

Uniforms and self-infatuation were more important to the father and son, the sheer "pose" was crucial, amazing how it all rubbed off...
What pathetic existences, just hideous!

I like to recommend another work by the german historian Wolfram Pyta:

"Gutachten über die politische Haltung und das politische Verhalten
von Wilhelm Prinz von Preußen (1882-1951), letzter Kronprinz des
Deutschen Reiches und von Preußen, in den Jahren 1923 bis 1945"

"Opinion on the political attitude and political behavior
by Wilhelm Prince of Prussia (1882-1951), last Crown Prince of the
German Reich and Prussia, in the years 1923 to 1945"

A PDF file, 155 pages, download size is a little bit more than 2 megabyte

It is unfortunate that the above two publications are only available in German.
These are two really very interesting works that a great many people would like to read. One can only hope for a decent translation at least into the English language...
