very nice and different fonts as a bonus
Were the fonts different according to the date they were manufactured or because of the different makers?

In my opinion , it is both ...The style of the lettering did change around mid 1936 and there were also different manfuctures of the Gebietsderieck with the own style with slite variations .
I encourage everyone who has access to read the Saris book pages 30 to 43 very carefully and refer to the footnotes in regard to lettering on HJ triangles and decide for yourself. There is a lot of information on this backed up by period publications so read the footnotes as well. As I stated initially there are differing opinions on this subject and I think there has been good debate in this thread.
I caution anyone who uses this book to take much of the info with a grain of salt as the author in many cases uses conjecture and personal opinion not fact in his thoughts as seen many of the pictures shown are his interpretation of what it might have looked like. Like most everything read and question
AND please don't take offense to me personally , it is a problem I have question everything worth questioning . Like the evening news one station has its political agenda FOX and the other thinks different CNN so listen to both and juggle the truth.
.I was refering to the differnt colors for male and female examples Paul. I believe it was you who first posed the question if there was only one version, and many of us were under the impression that only white lettered early examples existed.
