This is my new cap band with a sleeve patch.
Bischweiler (Bischwiller) is located in France. I think the patch is not easy to find.

Very rare stuff. The Seeberufsfachschule is merely related to the German navy,
is my opinion. I will have a look. There were many more, as for example the
Seeberufsfachschule Wolgast and Seeberufsfachschule Wesermünde.

In the other thread Kammer was mentioned. Kammer was a part of the city
Traunstein in Bavaria, since 1972. Before that it was called a Pfarrdorff, a
parish-village.

I was putting a list together a couple of days ago too but my PC crashed and I lost it :crying: It listed eight Seeberufsfachschulen at that point if I remember correctly. Whilst making the list I came across a book where it was mentioned that HJ members wore the HJ armband on the uniform whilst at the schools. I'll have to try to find it again.
 
I'm sorry, what happened to the PC and I hope the data can be found again.
Important details are still missing to the item.

Places found where such "schools" existed, were:
Bischweiler, Elsfleth, Essen-Werden, Eudenbach, Görlitz, Hohenschwangau,
Lindau, Marienberg, Neuwied, Sankt Wolfgang, Uherské Hradiste, Wesermünde,
Wolgast. If there are more, I do not know. There surely are. This is what I found.

First the KM had the Unteroffizier-Vorschulen, which were transfermed into
Seeberufsfachschulen (order late 1941). The purpose of the schools was to
train youngsters during three years for the profession of sailor for the KM.
In May 1942 the Reichserziehungsministerium took over, the Seeberufsfachsulen
were now assigned to them, but the patronage remained with the KM.

The uniform was navy-like in most aspects and in line as for the Orchesterschule
(Marinemusikschule der Kriegsmarine). The tallie was light-blue with whitish letters.

Yes, there's also a forum where Werner Jähnig used to contribute before he died. I think it had "marine" in the web address. He was a student at one of these Seeberufsfachschulen and conducted some of his research on the forum. That's where I was when my PC crashed. I'll have it my browser history and will post it in a mo.

Hi Gary! I just acquired this photo of a young man wearing a badge from a Seeberufsfachschule. Do you have any idea where it was taken? Also, I found your list from 2018 on the forum. Has that list been updated since then? Thanks in advance!

The location name on the boy's sleeve patch is very short (bottom line). Can't make it out but it doesn't seem to be a match for any of the schools on my list.
