Silver HJ achievement badge, pin plate marked A.D.Schwerdt

I keep coming across AD Schwerdt for pin plate marked versions of this badge. Especially on 4 digit serial numbered examples. Any further information on this phenomena is appreciated.

Love the hollow ones. I had a Schwerdt once but always wanted to put a set of hollows together. Failed completely
