Student Cap Badge

Can anyone tell me anything about this badge as i got it a group of HJ Badges, someone told me it may be a cap badge to a student, any help would be great.

I wanted to show a few buckles and start a discussion about the diamond buckles.. these are sometimes referred to as first pattern studentbund buckles or first pattern NPEA. I believe that these buckles had nothing to do with the NPEA or studentbund, and that in fact these were early HJ buckle...

Yours does look like a type of insignia though with those prongs. I'll have a dig around the forum to see if we've discussed them before. I don't think they have any connection to the NS Student Association though.

I have never found 100% proof in 50 years for the assertion it was Studentenbund.
In early catalogues this is not speficied. Those found with prongs could mean it was worn with some kind of headgear.
