Types of fastener on HJ membership badges

Has anyone noted there are two distinct forms of diamond fasteners

1 folding tang
2 pin clasp

what are the feelings do they date these ie pre 36 and later

I know the tang type were used on the knives and sometimes headgear not sure if they were worn on the pocket.

NO NEVER would be on the uniform to much damage would be done

I believe the ones with folding tangs are the proper headgear insignia whilst the one with the clasp are just chest badges.

YES makes sense, must have been in short supply later on as you do not see as many
