The early Hitleryouth often has worn a variety of non regulation uniform parts. So we can find here on this photo boy with and without shoulderstraps and not everyone is wearing a leather knot on his scarf . But please have a look to the boy second from right , third row : What kind of hat is he wearing? The picture shows early Hitleryouth marching through the streets of Tilsit in East Prussia . Any information is welcome.

Such caps were worn by the Hitler Youth in the 1920s and early 1930s. I'm assuming they were taken over by a youth league.
A great recording from the early 1930s.

This might be the early Jungvolk beret pushed to the rear of the boy's head. The berets were finally replaced by the black sidecap in 1933. More pics here:

Steve and Gary thanks for your quick information . Did not expect that somebody might identify this hat.

Gary I'm supposed this might be the beret you mentioned above?

The beret was anyway an official headdress for DJ still in March 1933.
It was as such in an order from that date.
An order for the annual party-day from August 18 1933 mentioned no
headgear was to be worn at all. When being transported towards Nürnberg
a headdress was allowed.
When new items had to be purchased one had to wait for new orders as
these were expected soon. They were in fact arrenged in a regulation from
early 1934.

I do have numerous photos where the beret is being worn.
Here one I thought was from the Party Day from 1933.
I must have somewhere the original caption, but cannot
find it at the moment.
