If you own a flag or pennant marked with for example 3/475 or 6/118 etc you can cross-check with the following project to find out the location of the unit to which it belonged:

The list is not complete but it is updated often. Good luck!

PS: over the next few days I will be changing the format of the lists so that the unit number is the same as what is on the flag/pennant:

Current version: 200 Gefolgschaft 12
Future version: Gefolgschaft 12/200

I should have done this from the start but I've found a way to automate the changes rather than having to type each line.

That's already a huge amount of research without having to change everything again!!

Jeez... nearly 10,000 units collected? I remember the list from years back when it just had a few hundred units on it. Great work. There's nothing like this anywhere else :clap2:

haha thank you. About once or twice a month I go looking and they just keep coming at me :)

It shouldn't take too long to convert everything. Worth it I think to have things in the same format as they are on a flag or other unit-marked item :thumb:

I have converted the units within Banne 1-200 here:

Is that better or worse from a search point of view? I can easily change things back if you guys prefer the list as it was previously. One positive thing is that you can now use the search function to find a unit for example Gefolgschaft 35/30 or just 35/30. This isn't possible with the old format.
