The danish HJ equivalent was the Nationalsocialistisk Ungdom (NSU). Henrik posted a very useful thread on them here
I don't know offhand whether they wore these knives but good photos of NSU may be available on the googlemonster to confirm or deny it. Henrik's thread shows a group picture of some NSU boys and one of them appears to be wearing a knife similar to the HJ pattern knife but I'm very sceptical about the knife at the link. Henrik will be able to help here I'm sure.
Yes, nice one, and good thread. Wim will surely also know about this. The sun wheel, OK, but why sun wheel as a logo and on the knife something different?
And why so cheap? it has also been on that site for a while.
Just been reading some posts from danish collectors and it seems certain that HJ knives were imported into Denmark for use by the NSU. An example of one is discussed here (see particularly the post by member '600feet' further down the page), Note that it doesn't have a diamond.
It's not a Danish cross, looks more like the cross on the Swiss flag. Also looks like there is something wrong with the location of the cross. It is not centered on the badge.
Sorry, but I have no photos showing wearing of knives.
A Danish collector just informed me, that NSU used the HJ-type knife with or without HJ emblem.
Translated from a Danish Forum:
"I have a dagger 100% identical to a HJ dagger, but no number or anything, except a company brand "Armefo" - it has a Danish NSU symbol painted on the metal sheath."
