This is my new DJ leader flap. Has seen to 5 stars?
I think it is late wartime. The hole for the 6th star is to be seen.

Strange to see too many pips on a strap like this. Someone has gone overboard replacing missing rank pips here IMO. Great strap but embellished to me.

I agree with Darin ... 2 of the 5 pips are regulation HJ Rzm pattern . This strap has been collector or veteran upgraded .

Do there originally exist straps with more than 4 pips ?? I bought Wim's book some days ago, I have not read all, but I can not see any strap with more than 4 pips.

Hi,

Ranks with four pips were HJ Stammführer, DJ Jungstammführer, HJ Oberstammführer and Oberjungstammführer. The earlier rank of Unterbannführer also had four pips but no, there were no HJ or DJ ranks with five pips.
