where do you get these were not freely available?I can't tell for sure, Wim. These insignia were not freely available, as you know. Maybe he was given one of these skulls, who knows. Or a pair of them, and he gave one to his mate. There was another passport photo of this kind, also with only one skull on the left strap. We'll never know, I'm afraid.
Whether the type of skull is an exact match or not, I still think this one is Streifendienst, the brightness of the piping seems to back it up. And it seems like the most reasonable of an explanation.
I also spotted this type for the first time a few weeks ago. You always discover something new that you think might never have existed. This one was on Ebay. Keep looking ;-)Love it ! I simply assumed what it was like in one part of Germany a few decades later. Unthinkable. Unless you knew someone who was there. Otherwise there was no way of getting pips, shoulder boards or anything like that. Only with authorisation. I don't think times had changed much in this respect.where do you get these were not freely available?
No, that is not correct. Many items were freely available.I simply assumed what it was like in one part of Germany a few decades later. Unthinkable. Unless you knew someone who was there. Yeah, like this. But cant clearly make it out in the photoNice photos
The first Hj wear the shoulder-boards in red since 01-34 , the color was yellow before , until this date.
On the third pic , he s wearing a triangle which is not common with this piece of uniform, it seems to be a LANDJAHR triangle, the first version, in black on a yellow background.
yes, Landjahr. Observe the letter on the shoulder-strapsOn this one no doubt !
A great picture showing the wearing of the first (Landjahr) triangle and the shoulder boards with a capital L.Yeah, like this. But cant clearly make it out in the photo

1. What uniform is the man (possibly father) wearing?
2. I believe the back says Bruuge, belguim. But The writing im struggeling deciphering it. I searched for where the photoshop would of been and i believe i found it on google street view.
