This is interesting. After the major reorganisation of the HJ structure (published on the 1st of August 1933), Bann 220 was Arnstadt and that was its name until the end of the TR period. I have never heard of "Bann 220 Wachsenburg". Wachsenburg is a castle in the area covered by the district of Arnstadt and Bann names sometimes had their origin in a local geographical feature (or a castle as in this case) so it makes sense but as I say, I haven't ever heard Bann 220 being called that.
This young man lived in Gräfenroda which was within the district of Arnstadt so everything seems to make sense apart from the fact that the Bann name is unknown, certainly to me.
I wonder if it was just something that happened in the controlled confusion of that period around the summer of 1933 when things were growing at a fast rate and the RJF were trying to keep up?
