Very interesting place. Spent a few weeks there in total in the 1980s on battle camps. Wish I'd known more about the place when I was there. We were billeted in one of the accommodation blocks on the slope leading down to the sports field and swimming pool which still had the NS murals on the walls.

amazing place and due to it's history post war is very much a time capsule

Thanks for uploading the photos Northwind. Set one (photo at top right) - I stood next to that but it was so overgrown back then that I didn't realise it at the time. Wish I had taken photos back then...
