Hi there,
Is this an original one?
I was always told the diamond shouldn't follow the forms of the grip...

Hello, the diamond following the grip pattern used to be a red flag but actually it wasn't. Your early Anton Wingen Jr is okay, a bit beat up but ok. I can't see the motto. Can you see it in hand?

I also like that knife, not in the best condition, but still very collectible, and i.m.o. it is an original one. :good:

What crack says about the diamond is correct, there are some wrong assumptions in cirkulation, and that is one of them. Another is, that the diamond should wiggle, but there are original knifes who has no wiggling diamond.

I notice one unusual thing on this knife, and that is the angle of the quillon. On my own HJ knifes there are different angles on the quillon, but I don't remember to have seen such a 90 degree angle before, the quillon is almost parallel to the grip.

That is one of the good things about this forum, you still havn't seen it all :yo:

The angle of the quillon is indeed extreme. Knife is fine but too far gone for my personal taste.

Regards, Wim
