Is there anyone who can help decipher the name of this envelope.

I can not read either first or last name.
I can state that it is a girl who lived in Feldbach in Austria.
I know that both Jack and Henrik are good at deciphering old writing, so I hope they see this post - or maybe there are others who can ??

Hello Michael,

I read :

- Absender / Sender : HANNERL KOLLARICH, Address : ADOLF HITLERPLATZ Nr 4

Hi Eric

Thanks a lot. :clap2:

I did not know at all that Hannerl is a name, but I have now Googled it, and it is a well known Austrian girl name, especially from the time around the 1930s.

Hi Eric

Thanks again for your help. I was well aware that it was a first name.

I found several Austrian girls with that name when I Googled. Here is one of the results:

Eric has interpreted this perfectly, I agree with him. By the way, this script is neither Sütterlin nor Kurrent, but the Antiqua script, which was gradually introduced after Hitler's so-called Normschrifterlass of 3 January 1941. From the next school year, lessons were taught in "Deutsche Normalschrift".

"Hannerl" is a pet form (diminutive) of the first name Johanna, which was very common in southern Germany and Austria.
