Hi guys,

a friend of mine got this picture, which is very intersting in my opinion.
The boys already look very old for an HJ unit and they also wear a lot of awards.
Do you have information about it? Which unit was it? Can you read the district triangle?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello,
Would it be possible to have several close-ups of this photo, to permit more efficient identification of the lads?
Best,
Lauri

Hi guys,

thanks so far for your help - much appreciated!!!
I got a high resolution scan of the picture, but I'm not sure if it really helps. I think the resolution of the pic itself is too low, but I tried to get some interesting parts of it in extra pics.
Can you identify anything?
Thanks in advance!

I'll stick my neck out and say that this is a wartime higher level HJ leadership course. Most of the guys seem 20+ and some of them are wearing the IAB. The building is typical of the type used as leadership schools imo.

Of course the photo is wartime. Some do wear wartime decorations like
the Infanterie-Sturmabzeichen, introduced December 20, 1939 and so
they must have had wartime action (at least three assaults on three
different days in the field of action against the enemy).

:001_rolleyes: Okay, take out the word "wartime" from my post and you'll see that the point I was making was that this could be a group at a HJ leadership school...
