Here is another image of a HJ officer wearing his holstered pistol. This image was borrowed from FJ Stephens' book on the HJ. Does anyone have it in their library?

They will have qualified on the Walther (Pistolenklasse I and II)

I don't know if you need them but here are the shooting tests for the Walther KK (those who passed both tests became pistol instructors):

Edit: I had no luck in finding a HJ pistol shooting book unfortunately..

Today I was at the shootingrange, firing my PP. An old guy next to me (who has a lange netwerk of collectors and an old school collector) brought also a PP with him. But.. it had wooden grips with the hj logo in it! He says it is original as found many many years ago. He would not let me make a picture, but I used chatgpt with my own one and reconstructed the grips. (No swastika.. chat gpt does not allow that..)

Anyone ever heard of that?
If I would see those grips at a fair, I would say it is junk. But it looked very well, plus I know the guy.. he is not much of a storyteller.. normally he puts his money where his mouth is, but.. It was just to good to be true..

In my fantasy a higher leader could has personalized grips like this.

Wood grips were factory provided on later war models. The grips were usually unfinished wood, though oil and use changed coloring. I have reservations about about any PPs supplied to party formations in the late war.
