Ok folks , seen a few questions on the site regarding the Fake vs Real DJ RZM 72 Zimmermann badges.
Here ..the obvious fake and the period produced version. Take note of the 2 in 72 as that should be easily discernible even from poor pictures.
Anyway , have a look ....

And good work ye did :swissAye, world famous indeed. Nice to know and to see all those micro images, as the font did look a tad strange with that weird J. But now at least we know it`s genuine.. well, to be fair, the one you just examined is, but as I said, the other is slightly different... so can`t be 100 sure on that one yet.....

Yes , good point from our friend Jo ! Due diligence required as we certainly haven't had a chance to examine the multitude of fake badges out there.

Thank you for the update about Jo - Nice to hear that he is well, I was afraid that it was with a background in health he did not participate in the debate on forums.

But since Jo has not been on the forum for some time, several updates are missing.


Post 53 - Deumer - should probably be put under the category "Questionable badges so far" as I'm not sure it's a good one.


Post 54 should be in this section "Second Pattern DJ Badges with only DJ on the obverse - Pre-RZM Makers known so far"
as: 11 Unknown makers mark No. 2


Post 55 same category as Post 54, but as: 12 Unknown makers mark No. 3.


Then you could rename: 10 Unknown makers mark to
10 Unknown makers mark No. 1


I would like this update so that there is focus on the unknown makers - there may be a member of the forum who just suddenly found out who it is.

Now that's a great badge. It has a remarkably resemblance to an unknown makers marking who manufactured Party Badges.

I do have this particular Party Badge in my collection but I'm a lazy *******, so I borrowed the attached picture from Jo's site.
