RS Deutschlandsender triangle.

Very nice :thumb: There's probably one on the forum already but here's a pic showing the triangle in wear:

Hi,

I managed to pick up this set several weeks ago, not common to find in this condition and especially the shoulder straps worn before July 7, 1939 ....!.
According to Lothar Hartung, this kind of shoulder straps would have been worn experimentaly.....and unfortunately, no additional information for the early period.

Bravo! A fantastic addition to your wonderful collection. I would have paid a considerable sum for these when I was actively collecting.

Also congratulations from me. :good:
These boards are certainly very rare and I am pleased that you have shown us.
In an auction, the set would have shot up.

yes Steve, I think the same thing, prices increase considerably for rare items. The question is whether collectors are willing to spend so much money ....

Great material.
It would be logical also shoulder-straps with the RS abbreviation were in use, in brown.
It may have been provisional, but for that there is not proof. Its use is stated with a
photograph from mr. Clyde Davis in the Military Advisor-Magazine. The photo must
be from 1938, as a special triangle is being worn.

With the Organisationsplan from October 19, 1935, which was published in the
Verordnungsblatt, the various cities were mentioned.

The various triangles came into being in spring 1938, according to the Reichsbefehl 10/III
from March 18, 1938, page 291. The note states the triangles were finally available. The
black shoulder-straps with RS abbrevation are included in a HJ price-list from April 1939
and especially explained according to the bright-red piping color (price-list page 11). The
shoulder-straps with RS were NOT mentioned in a price-list from November 1936.

With a 1943 survey the RS abbreviation is being mentioned, as well as a number. This
number was used for the shoulder-strap button. In my handbook page 548 a survey
with its numbers is being included.

The shoulder-straps with abbreviation are rarer then the triangles. This is my opinion!

Hi Garry,
thanks, yes indeed, I did not have the regulation and I regret not to have been interested in that before because I miss a lot of information, fortunately you and Wim have the historical archives.

Another great find for you Eric. Here is just a close up of the picture which has been posted here by Wim.

Yes, I think so Gefolgschaft. It might be the cornflower-blue armband
with white/greyish letters HJ-Lagerpolizei. The starting letters give
the idea!

Isn't it a great hobby to collect or be interested in the HJ-organization?

HJ Lagerpolizei

Hello,
I think the picture from the "Rundfunkspielschar" was taken at RPT 1938.
The leader of the "Lagerpolizei" was Bannführer Harry Witt.
The "Lagerpolizei" wears also a blue captally.
Regards
Holzwurm

That would be most interesting:
to see the wearing of such blue cap-tally by regular HJ!!
Such tally will have been positioned over the regular cap band,
in style as often was done by umpires and referees (a sort of)
within other organizations.

Here a June-1935 photograph from the SA:

By the way: the word HJ-Lager, which of course is a camp,
must not be confused with the same word, which means
a depot of goods. This is visible with the coming order-form.

I just found and bought these shoulder straps this morning, this is the last pattern of RS, the pair is very difficult to find in this condition.
Very nice catch and matches with my triangle of Rundfunkspielschar of Frankfurt.
