Very interesting tally. That town is one of my very favorite in Germany. John

Thank you all for the publication on this little-known and little-exploited subject.
Here is my little contribution , Diedenhofen was in West-Westmark (actually in France /Moselle)

Hi Bertl59! If you ever want to part with it.... I'll take it ;)

Good day Gents,

after having been absent due to personal reasons for almost 8 years I apologize for the long break. Despite even having lost interest in our beloved hobby for a couple of years, I luckily re-discovered the beauty and passion in it!
Some wonderful tallies you are showing here, of some the origins and the previous owner was known to me very well. Also the yellow died Berlin tally was already discussed on the forum earlier on. Thanks for giving the MHJ tallies a revival!!! Let's keep the ball rolling - what other tallies have other users in their vaults? Dig them out - I would love to see them!!!

Rgds

Daniel
Hi Marine-HJ, thanks for your comment! It's a pleasure to share one's passion. I've only been collecting tallies for 3 years. Finding them is not easy. I look forward to hearing from you. Best regards

My contribution of the day! The 2nd group of digits have probably been removed...

There is no question the numbers have been removed. Still a very nice example. John

You are most welcome. You are speaking mind - finding them is not easy. I'm collecting them since 1998. In 2004, only 15 MHJ tallies in my collection, I acquired a collection of 48 tallies from an old collector. Since the the collection has grown to close to 200 tallies. It is very nice to get someone new to know who share this rare passion. We are only a few collectors of them.
More from me later.

Hi ALCOR
unfortunately this cap tally is not mine

Not only probably, but they have been removed. As far as I remember the tally has full length but has a repair to the right, hasn't it?

Yes, there are little holes where the letters used to be.

A few more to share. Some specials I would like to point out:
- 1st picture, to two: PRE-MHJ youth organizations
- 1st picture, 2nd last: 81/186 Frankfurt - unknown unit as surely no Bann had 81 Gefolgschaften, however, both Bann-Numbers belonged to Frankfurt so it is assumed this tally belonged to a boy who worked in the administration for the area of Frankfurt
- 2nd picture, 2nd from top: tally of the staff of the floating youth hostel Hein Godenwind
